Common drainage questions
What is the difference between plumbing and drainage?
Plumbing includes systems that deliver and control water as well as systems that remove wastewater. Drainage specifically focuses on how wastewater and other water are carried away from fixtures, buildings and surrounding areas.
Why does my drain keep clogging?
Recurring drain blockages can have several causes, including buildup, material collecting inside the line or a problem farther down the drainage system. The cause needs to be identified before deciding on the appropriate cleaning or repair.
What does a drain camera inspection show?
A drain camera inspection allows the inside of accessible drain or sewer piping to be visually inspected. It can help identify the location and nature of some blockages, buildup or visible pipe damage.
Is a slow drain always a clog?
Not necessarily. Restricted flow can be caused by accumulated material, a developing blockage or other drainage conditions. Recurring or widespread slow drainage may require further assessment.
